It's Okay to Get Freaky with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra!

Especially when they are performing Cirque De La Symphonie....
I felt like joining the cast of Dare Devils, Strong Men and Aerial Acrobats that took the stage with conductor Jacomo Rafael Bairos and the world class Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. The show was captivating and I kept thinking, how can the musicians focus on performing the classic Ride of the Valkyries from Die Walkure with Sagiv Ben Binyamin flying above on his Aerial Rope? Wow!

<>    A perfect view of the stage!
Don't try this at home!

The musicians never skipped a beat while the acrobatic Cirque performers made juggling, spinning cubes and feats of  strength look graceful and poetic. What some would consider a “freak” show in another arena would certainly concede to the artistic beauty of the Cirque especially when Elena Tsarkova, the “Lady in White,” gracefully complemented the beauty of Tchaikovsky’s Valse from Sleeping Beauty Suite.
The Pops Series of the Charlotte Symphony seems to be a welcoming place for traditional symphony lovers and those of us who are classically challenged.
I was nervous about attending the performance without my Symphony savvy friends. Beautiful live music makes me want to write hard and I get nervous about trying to take notes because serious symphoneers are generally quiet and attentive to every sound. The Cirque De La Symphonie performance was relaxed and we appropriately erupted into applause as the performers made beautifully daring moves. It was breath taking. Another standing ovation for the creative and classy Charlotte Symphony Orchestra! See How The Charlotte Symphony Pops
